This is a lovely little poem of thanksgiving. I am also blessed, having raised a large family and never suffering the heartache that some parents do in losing a child. Thankfulness is in order.

So true. Many of us don't realize that life isn't the norm for everyone. The best line, in my opinion is "Fate refuses to be fair" People often cry, "It's unfair." That it is. A very meaningful poem. Les

This a beautiful arostic poem with a solid message and nice rhyming lines to add an additional layer. I'm not sure if fairness is real or simply a man made concept, but I get what you feel.

The Cute Little One sure has a happy family and always look so happy together. It is actually scary how rare that is. This is well done. Good luck.

Brooke;
Wendy Jerry fine tear jerking type of writing that made me sincerely stop and think about all those who don't have a loving family as I once did and what Sawyer does have now.
You're acrostic poem was not only written so beautifully and well adapted to your picture but also it had writing which was neither force nor labor any sort of rhythm test flowed obviously well throughout your poem. And where your rhyming helped with this rhythmic flow.
The imagery in your writing also was very demonstratively descriptive and eloquently expressive and lines like this: "Mother smiles dad's embrace, if only fate would have such grace." Such a line like this summed up your writing very much so.
Thank you so much Brooke for sharing and posting this and may the Lord be with you in your is always my friend.

This is very sweet and such a wonderful tribute to your family in this very clever auctostic. I still marvel at how you can create an acroustic and have all your words flow with such ease. good stuff there, Brooke.

The cross some people bear - your family photo is gorgeous - and the message of the poem has a duality - to appreciate what one has and to have compassion and empathy towards those that don't

Nice acrostic poem. Lovely family picture. Some say the fact that our fingers are not of equal length is proof that life is often not fair to everyone and a lot of times,we have no say in the matter. Well written!

I love your "My Family" acrostic contest entry. This picture poem pair is perfect and it goes further. It show your concern for all those who do not have a loving family. This is an excellent entry. It reads well and the rhyming is perfect. You have a right to be happy with this loving family. Thanks for sharing. Bob

A bit more introspective than usual, my dear. It must relate to your observation of others because to is sympathy rather than regret. Strange how these thoughts develop as I write. I must be slow on the up take.
