Beautiful family, Brooke.
Warm wonderful smiles.
Great poem.

Yes, Brooke, it breaks my heart too. It also breaks my heart that almost 60,000,000 babies aborted in America never had a chance. It is all so horrific.

Again, beautiful family. May they be abundantly blessed.

Your family and your writing are so generously shared with us! Loving the pictures (always) and how you creatively story tell in your poems. Another great one here! The message too, is so true. You are blessed!
Best wishes in the contest! Thanks for sharing your well-written, rhyming acrostic with me!

adewpearl,
Excellent acrostic to describe your feelings about the unfairness and inequality of love or lack there of. This portrait of your family exudes love and how blessed Sawyer is--and of course, how blessed all of you are for having him. Thanks for sharing your insight. elaine

Or a woman wanting a family but finding it just out of her grasp. That's been my lot in life thus far. A well-written poem I can relate to. Nice work. :)

Hi Brooke,
I so agree with you on this subject. Why do people choose to bring children into a loveless situation?
Growing up, I thought all children must have similar family lives; a loving mom and dad, plenty of food, and a clean, nurturing environment. As I grew, I became aware of the differences, and was amazed. I remember asking my parents why this was so? They didn't have a good answer back then, either.
I guess we must understand and appreciate, the blessing of a good and loving home life. I'm so happy for Sawyer...and nice job raising Miranda. I think we all now where her loving attitude was formed, hee hee.
Great work with this arostic, and best of luck with this tender thought of family life, Bill

O yes Brooke, it's surely a blessing to belong to a happy family. Some take it for granted, but it is not, I know from experience....A happy family life is a treasure and we have to cherish it!!! Your family looks very happy I must say, enjoy it!! By the way, a great acrostic, loved it!!! Fia

Sadly, what you've written about in this poem is so very true. There are so many that are so cruel to other in this world of ours. They just don't have the compassion needed to help others. This was a well written verse with a very good message in its thoughts... John

A father's strong arms to protect and a mother's warm embrace and the child in between-unfortunately a dream for many children.sawyer is lucky to have a loving family
good acrostic with a poignant thought. 'love shouldn't be beseeched' true .it is every child's right.

Hi Brooke, what a lovey subject to choose for this Acrostic poem.
You are so right that there are unfortunate children who do not get the love and the comfort of a happy home.
I enjoyed reading your rhyming couplets.

Well written
good luck in the contest.
Mary

We may see a photo of Nana Brooke one day with the family????
