You set roots in the place of living, create friends, make memories. I hope you move has gone well. This is never an easy decision for one to do.

Your poem is well done, expressing the stress involved with moving. Moving is one of the most difficult stresses in life promising change and disruption to all that's familiar. You set roots in the place of living, create friends, make memories. I hope you move has gone well. This is never an easy decision for one to do.

Thank you, Rosalyne, for your lovely review. Yes, I am home now and aften 11 years in another country, I am pleased to be back with my family and friends here in the UK. I will miss my Spanish friends, but with the phone, and Skype, I can keep in touch and go and have a holiday with them, so not too bad. Thank you, again. :) Sandra

I'm glad your back home and settled with family and friends. It makes the transition a bit easier. I've always lived in Canada other than one summer spent in Costa Rica. It was hard to leave after connecting with such amazing friends. I still long to return, such a beautiful country and people.

I resonate with the message of the poem, moving away from the home that once had been your home for so many years can be very sad and lonely just like tearing away a part of your memory, or even a part of your soul. But finding a new home requires leaving the old ones too. I enjoyed reading your poem.

Moving is very stressful - you came home for mother and children, a worthy move. Still, you were happy in another country Spain. I think you pine for Spain - give it time.

Thank you, Kay! I do miss the weather in Spain, at least when it isn't too hot. But I am settling in nicely now. The pain of my mother dying so soon after coming home, took some time to get my head around, in fact, it is still too painful to even think about not ever seeing her and my dad again. But, onwards, as you say, give it time. Thank you my friend! :) Sandra

Moving is always a painful process. My husband and I moved three times before we finally moved back home. Backing is difficult as if leaving friends behind.
