I will read the book when time permits.
I thinki you should send this to Bill Maher.com because they were discussing this topic on Friday evening.
Reads well and makes sense.
There is still hate in a world that has so much goping for it that something went wroing that was never corrected in people's hearts and minds.

Hi Carolyn,

I like way the thinking in this poem evolves. From presuming to the obscure - couldn't have told it any better.

Great job, and presentation as well.

Good luck in the contest.

Cheers & Blessings

Very good.
A very good and succinct essay of prejudice with both a warning and an appeal to openness.
The acrostic structure was used well and the lines were well connected and consistent in supporting the pace of the narrative.

Keep up the good work.

I like the line requires a measure of truth. Wonderfully written acrostic poem. It flows well from line to line and rings truth. Best if luck.

We need to put differences aside
and see what's really inside
of the one that doesn't look like me

We would be a much stronger nation if we could do that.. Well done, Buck

This work has reached the exceptional level

Are we not all prejudice in someway. Let us not let are dislikes get in the way of what needs to put an end too. Prejudice is a strong word, and needs to be crushed. Great poem.

Hi, Carolyn.
What a great poem, sharing the importance of seeing the entire situation without prejudgment. Prejudice and racism is a learned behaviour that leads to sweeping conclusions without giving others a chance. You showed this so well in your post. I really like your note at the bottom. Well said!
Bye
Rosalyne :)
