Haha, I love it! This certainly speaks to the spell food can have over a person. An easy, rhythmic read, rich with imagery sharp enough to make a person hungry. Well done. Luck with the contest.

A man's desire is met only by the ravishing dishes that he could look forward to.
The fuller the tummy the happier and more satisfied he will be

Good meter, good rhymes and good story make this a vote- getter, for sure. I enjoyed it, smiling all the way through. Very clever and cute.

I loved the rhyme and cadence of this poem. It's clever and funny. I hope it isn't autobiographical because that would mean your dear dad is no more. Although, anybody who ate like that ... well. Still, that last line of him chatting to St. Peter was so cute!

This has wonderful rhyme and meter using a variety of words for the rhyme. The picture is a keeper. The character reminds me of my X-husband who successfully ate himself to death.

This poem rhymes well and has good rhythm. The man sounds like he really enjoyed his food. It follows the prompt well. Great job.

This poem reads like a song--so joyful that I felt my head bobbing back and forth as I read it. Ha. Really good work in demonstrating an enjoyment of eating. Good luck in the contest.

Oh this is soooooooooo good. If I hadn't just eaten...vine fresh tomatoes, sliced with cucumbers, feta cheese, sweet onions, Greek olives, extra virgin olive oil, Balsamic Vinegar, a little sea salt, some freshly ground pepper; I would eat again. Good job.
