this is a beautiful write, bobby jo, and the story you shared is so timely. September 13 is the one year anniversary of my mother's homegoing and my father took her from the hospital to survive 2 months longer than they said she would. congrats on the win

Death is never when we expect it. My mother told me the worst thing about dying from cancer is that you know kind of how it will end, but you never know when. Many hugs and God bless you in your loss.

I work with the terminally I'll and this had me in tears, so sad. Every death is a family affair, and is always a dreadful loss. Especially a mother as mothers typically are the heart of the family. Very well written.

I loved your writing, fine sense and excellent development. I'm short of words, although I'd love to say much, but simply put, fantastic job. My compliments, hugs from Chile

This is a lovely testament to an undoubtedly wonderful lady. Your attention to the feelings is touching. Taking the time to utter something special for each member of the family shows how brave she was and how important it was for her to give each of you a beautiful memory. I'm sorry for your loss and can't imagine how hard it was to lose such an important person for you. Your story moved me to tears because it was so beautifully told.

I'm out of the six stars this deserves. This is poignant and real and reminds me of my own mother's last days. Wonderful job. Loren

A most beautifully written, tear jerking, non-fiction story. Your story touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Bless you for sharing these most interment details of your life. Congratulations on an obvious, well-deserved contest win.

Bobby Jo: I understand why you won this contest. Your story is beautiful and many people can relate to it. After 18 years of coronary artery disease, a progressive disease when eventually kills you if something else doesn't get you first, I'm in congestive heart failure. My body is winding down and I feel every minute of it. Last Christmas, I gave my family special gifts they could remember me by. Currently, I'm spending a couple of days with each daughter and grandchild, one-on-one time, to say those final words. I am grateful for the time before I move up to a better place. I related to this story and shed the tears. It is six star worthy but virtual is all I have today. livelylinda

One of my mother's aunt died from congested heart failure. So sorry to hear of your problem. I pray for your words of comfort to your family. May your words be wisdom to their souls. Live lively, Linda. Your life is worth more than any of us know. Hugs and thanks for the visual 6 stars.

A lovely and touching moment you created. It is a sad fate to say goodbye to a love one and sickness is a pain everyone shares. I suppose the good thing is she got to say her words of love and comfort before she departed.

Very touching and poignant. Receiving death within a family is always hard but it is also a point from which you can grow and in this piece you have shown the way.
