Love your lyrical musings.

Wonderfully penned. Sorry, that I am out of sixes for this one surely deserves to be lit up with them.

Such a marvelous flow.

Hugs, d

Makes me pause to ponder reverently:
As a child of God, how do I see
my own purpose in eternity?

The above were my favorite lines..

I thought tercets only had two rhyming lines per stanza but I see that you have nicely rhymed all three.
Very well written, Buck

Thank you for the wonderful review, Buck. When I researched on line I found some tercet poems by Thomas Hardy and Percy Shelly that rhymed all three lines. I liked the rhythm it created so I thought, why not? They are excellent poets to emulate or at least attempt to.

I am grateful for your kind review. Thank you for the encouragement. Debi

w.j., this has perfect meter and solid a-a-a and so forth rhyme in each triplet. The descriptions are vivid with original phrases. Delightful to read. :0 GracieAnn

Tercets 'Makes Me.' I think that many people question their existence upon this earth. I have for years, wondered what exactly my purpose on earth was. I have not come up with an answer, other that I am here because I am here. A good Tercet poem. Well done.

Wonderful poem. Nice visual imagery of nature. Great spirituality as it motivates others to look beyond materialism. Good alliteration scattered like melodic/moisture and bright/blue/birds. Good flow of rhythm in this rhyming tercet suite. Beautiful work.

The repeated 'Makes me' is such a strong affirmation that it is indeed these times that we choose to spend in touch with nature that make us - not only what we think but what we are. Your tercets each give us a glimpse of this wonderland you inhabit for a while.

"Makes Me" is romantic with its nature appeals.A structure of six tercets presenting unforced and quite rhythmic rhymes and lines. It appreciates "life", the feeding of "doe and fawns". Then its language speaks of the blue sky as "the cirrus clouds on high".
On a final note, the persona becomes so inspired as to find his "purpose in life". This makes a good read.

Hi Debi,
I loved your detailed portrayal of the wonders of nature that exist around us, everyday. You develop a stirring appreciation of the magical moments that accompany such an eventful encounter. Your meter and rhyme were solid throughout the write, well done.
Isn't it amazing what can transpire on a walk through the woods. (I live in such country...had to chase away two large deer yesterday, that were eyeing my garden, lol.)
Anyway, beautiful work and a pleasure to absorb...
Best wishes, Bill

Makes me pause to ponder reverently:
As a child of God, how do I see
my own purpose in eternity? .. there's nothing like nature to bring on deep ponderings and awareness of the divine in our lives, isn't it?

I love the repeated refrain of the title - Makes Me - at the commencement of each stanza. It's very effective.

A soothing read - fills me with thankfulness for grace and salvation.

Have a beautiful day, Debi.

Love,

Sonali :)
