The journey we all tread on earth
We learn by our mistakes, we hope
We can learn to love and share with others
Our faith in God should be unwavering
within our lives.
We ask God for help
We should remember to thank Him
He forgives us all when we make mistakes.

Excuse me, Charlie ... I'm not used to this. A poem more than a line in length. And it IS quite a poem you penned here. It's of a spiritual nature, with grace and redemption a part of the journey. Though the Angels touch your shoulder, your journey depends on the repentance and redemption of the other's pride and sin before you will ride. "Never go to see for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee".
And, all the while, I keep waiting for the ghost herd to come riding over the horizon.
Great job!

smile again, thank you,
They're ridin' hard to catch that herd, but they ain't caught 'em yet
'Cause they've got to ride forever on that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on hear their cry
As the riders loped on by him, he heard one call his name
If you want to save your soul from Hell a-riding on our range
Then cowboy change your ways today or with us you will ride
Tryin' to catch that Devil's herd, across these endless skies thanks so much, Walt

It's impossible to read those words, Walt, without hearing the melody in the background.

this is an excellent write, walter, a tercet with refrain that speaks of the sins of the past that will disappear with the repentance of a broken heart. I enjoyed reading it
