Talking about pictures I tried to replace an older one, maybe from months ago and Fan Art wrote back and said they were covered by copywright so therefore I couldn't subitute when I pressed "Remove It."
No big deal though, I was just practicing.

Yep, that means peace. Shiloh means place of peace. Civil War battlefield, Hebrew name Shiloh.

Ben Colder (an excellent author and good man, by the way) once explained to me what "shalom" meant, Spook-a-Doo. And I'm a big Civil War, WW! & WWII buff, and I know very well about the battle of Shiloh, also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, fought in southeastern Tennessee. I really enjoy war history and historical fiction. Next to horror, it's what I read most. Of course, you could call many aspects of any war, regardless of the era, horrific.

Yep I did a couple Civil War story poems. One was called Brices Cross Roads. The other was Shiloh. You may would like them.

I think I read & reviewed Brices Cross Roads, but I'm not sure about Shiloh. I'll have to look into that and see.

Thanks, Roy, and I personally believe that God made dogs especially for the benefit of mankind. Are you aware that the love of a good pet, particularly dogs, can lower your blood pressure considerably? It's a proven scientific fact. I feel that dogs, with their patience while waiting for us to return home from work, or when out with the family, is a lot like God's own patience as He waits on us to make the right choices concerning our salvation. Dogs are loyal, and will never let you down when you need a friend, and God is loyal, and will never let you down.

Yes Dean, I agree with you, we recently lost our dog of 16 years duration! cats and dogs have been an integral part of our family for many years, and are definitely Gods wonderful gift! Thank you Dean, Roy.

I had to check the syllable count in line 1 as I always thought beloved was 3 syllables - it is, but can also be 2 syllables so that's ok LOL!

Thanks so much, Debra, and I believe I just reviewed your own entry in the contest, titled "Pea". it was very good.

I began using a syllable counter after being disqualified a couple of times. Well, I actually use 2, one to back up the other, LOL. Both said that it was 17 syllables, as I was worried about the word "beloved". Then, I checked dictionary,com, just to be triply sure, and it also listed beloved as two syllables. So, I went with it.:)
