My first thought is: viola, another of the rare folks on Fan Story who have the crafts of rhyme & meter well developed and also can offer interesting content. Ha. I should have known it was you.
You asked the right questions, you just did not ask the correct entity.

This is a lovely Quatrain, "a woven golden coverlet" Such a precious thought, I see the sun and the fairies busy at work, maybe the moon borrowed her sparkle!

Asking, who's responsible for nature's beauty? The sun was viewed as a God by some tribes. A golden coverlet will make one stop and think. Great rhythm throughout. Superb write! Les

Sorry I do not have a six to bestow on this beautifully written mystery. The imagery is enchanting. I could envision magic being scattered through the voice of whimsy.

Amazing poem inspired by a beautiful picture. I read your poem twice because I enjoyed how the rhythm almost made it sound as if it were a song. Superb!

A wonderful piece to go with the image, I liked the format wherein you asked the question to a variety of deities etc. We sometimes have to just accept beauty for what it is without asking questions eh?

Rhyming 'coverlet' with 'woven it' is just brilliant.
I wondered if you were writing about your beloved dandelions, Brooke? From the picture - perhaps not.
Lovely - as always!

Thank you so much, Sonali - the photo struck me as I was looking at the first page of fan art, but I was thinking of pretty much any field of golden flowers, including my beloved dandelions :-) Brooke

What a brilliant way to see the world, Brooke, and I think your idea of looking at it that way in verse is superb. It is a most unique take on a beautiful yellow flower. I enjoyed reading your superbly written poem because I always enjoy the regular rhythm and rhyme of your pieces, Giddy

Sometimes a poem touches the right note, and others uplift the spirit.
This was simply beautiful Brooke, and if I may I should like to copy and keep it in my memory book to read on those days that I need to be uplifted, since that is what it did to me.
Even reading it aloud could not truly do it justice. It made me think, and remember so many things.
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Brooke, I am going to bookcase it, but will copy also for my memory book.
This is a book of poetry, or short stories that have meant a great deal to me over the years. Adding A Golden Coverlet will be a privilege.
