It seems like forever since I've reviewed one of your awesome poems. Everytime I go to look at one it is removed it seems. Maybe I'm just buried and unorganized. This is awesome. An ounce. How strange. I love finding out things like that. This is so active and alive. I can feel the battle going on. Wonderful imagery. Great work, mikey

If winter's still afoot and on a fling are a wonderful two last lines. Sometimes winter is still on a fling, spring arrives and ice and snow linger. Your use of words and smooth flow of words captures the feel of nature and I love the pic of the snow leopard.

Very well written. It flows smoothly from verse to verse. I enjoyed the read. That art was lovely. It went so well with the poem. Winter is one of my favorite seasons.

Hi MW,

Your flawless meter made this a joy to read. This is my favorite stanza because it produced amazing images. Very well written. Hugs, Lou

while in their dens,
'til fur is frosted
white by icy winds.

Moonwillow: What a beautiful poem and photo. Nature is so amazing with each season that God creates and watches over. I like your blue birds sing, Jack Frost, ice floats and the polar bears are black. Well written and a good visual.

A beautiful illustration to enhance your beautiful poem. I am a big fan on poems written about nature, and this one did not let me down, you brought every word to life, with such amazing imagery. A pleasure to read! :) Sandra

I suspect the ounce weights quite a few ounces.

The subject poem is a delightful query into the complex transition of winter to spring.

I als enjoy your somewhat cavalier freedom with rhyming.
