A beautiful tribute to the wonderful unknown delights that Spring may treat us to - the 'pas de deux' between late winter and early spring is vibrant

cause blue birds sing.
['cause is the contraction for because]

Thanks for the new-tome word - Rime.
I've heard it before, but never knew it's meaning -
This time, I looked it up.

All polar bears are black
while in their dens,
'til fur is frosted
white by icy winds

I'm not sure what you mean with the above. Polar bears are always white, except when there's no light. Cubs included.
I do know that some horses (Lipizzaner white stallions) are born black, but turn to white after a couple of years)

I liked the gentle flow of this poem, m'dear. It was a pleasure to read and write a review for.

Rose.

Rose, thank you ever so much for the superb review. You said it correctly about the polar bear... except when there's no light. :)) I had forgotten about the Lipizzaner horses being born black. Siamese kittens are born white, and look like little polar bears until they're a few weeks old. Again, thank you!! :)MW

This is a beautifully written poem depicting a frigid, frosty winter wonderland, MoonWillow.

Your rhyming and meter is impeccably rendered, and you paint such visual imagery using only the palette of the English language.

Loved the photo, the presentation, and everything about it. Wonderful work!~Dean:}

Thank you for teaching us another name for the snow leopard and adding the vivid artwork. I enjoyed your rhymed quatrains and personification of "nature" plus the alliteration of "h's". Cheers- Joan

That was very creative. Your poetic alliteration was hotter than fish grease. As in, Seasons committing Treason. I like your style. And overall, You did your thing. Keep writing.

What beautiful artwork you chose for your absolutely great nature poem. Oh, yes, we never know when Winter will let go of it's grip and allow Spring to enter. The whole poem's presentation made me feel this deserves a six!!

Lovely poem about seasons and the weather it brings. Well written and interesting. Good abcb rhyme scheme - stanza 5, except dens/winds. The content is good and you stress well the unpredictability of the weather. I enjoyed this nature poem. Kind regards Dorothy x

A wonderful poem about the transition of seasons. It makes me cold just thinking about it. I loved your descriptions, so brief, yet touched upon enough for the reader to get a clear mental picture. You rhythm and rhyme were very good, and you end with a bit of a mystery. Is winter truly over or not. The same mystery we ask ourselves every year.
Great poem.
