A young persons may seem irrelevance to the adult but it is gigantic to the youth. This is very well written with a smooth flow of word, making for a very good read.

this is a nice piece of poetic art and expresses well the ills of our society nowadays. no one has time for their children and still wonder why their children go a stray.
thank you for sharing!

This reminds me of the scripture that says, my paraphrase, " if you see your brother in trouble, and have the means to alleviate that problem, don't say I'll pray for you brother, help him! " He also says "weep with those who weep" I love your sentiment here Loanna, you have unearthed a basic truth! Too many people are busy doing the urgent not taking care of the important! Beautifully designed and crafted poem, great! Blessings, Roy.

I love your poem Loanna, the words are profound. yet we are all guilty of "not now" so it is awareness that we need. Listening is so important, simple fact, but if not adhered to can have devastating results.

Well written, a deserved six.

Hi,

Nice dedication to Robin, and as you said, to all the Shannon's as well.

Depression is such an ugly thing. Until someone has been there, they can't begin to understand the hell one goes through. I'm one of the lucky ones to pull out of it.

Robin's talent will always stand the test of time. So sad that he wasn't able to overcome.

Wonderful write.

Cheers & Blessings

Amen to all you shared. He was one in a million, and I am still so sad. I bet I saw him in person 6-7 times. I hope everyone in the same ugly place will just wait...

Thank goodness this happens ninety-nine times out of a hundred! The voices that tell them why to live are there if they'll listen. I like your ending here.

LoannaLois: great message within this poem so well written. I can remember, as a parent, being busy and saying, from time to time, "I'm busy. I'll talk to you later." I also remember when I stopped doing that to ease some anxiety from a young daughter. It worked best. We must stop when they need help. You are right and have sent the message loudly and clearly. This is so true. Not now is often what we blurt out when we seem overwhelmed with other things. This is so precious. It brings a tear to my eye. I could go on a guilt trip with this one. Thankfully, the poem ends in a good way. Such a great message. I hope we all heed it today and forever.

Two ears one mouth. God only knows what someone is about to do...Not giving them time might be the final straw...

Wouldn't be easy for me to know that I was part of someone's plans to end things...!

Peace,

Mike

Your words are certainly gold. And that is why we have to be diligent if the person in question isn't talking. Blessings.
