this is excellent , deepwater, you did an excellent job writing this mono rhyme poem that speaks of the summer fun that ended with delightful ice cream. I enjoyed reading it. there's nothing better than vacation dessert. it just tastes better

Summer is a happy and free time for children. You capture the innocence of carefree days, and the simple pleasure of the ice cream that hits the spot on those warm days. Your use of mono rhyme works nicely to convey the carefree days. I enjoyed how you ended with drifting off on those soft white sheets.

I really like your poem about younger children and what makes them happy. Although in this day and age, I'm not so sure that all it takes is some nice cold refreshing ice cream to make a child happy. I loved the photograph you chose to use with this poem.

I enjoyed the picture your poem painted of summers long past. Perhaps the rhyming of see and sea was a little repetitious but the over all rhyming of all lines made the poem flow as does the ebb and tide of the ocean. Loved the pic, it perfectly represented the feel of the poem
