I dunno what happened, but I corrected the problem. In the transition from the old FanStory to the new site, it got lost in cyberspace, LOL.

It was right on the heels of the news of the death of Robin Williams, debi. Someone hacked into Stephen's Facebook page and posted that he was dead at 66. I was devastated! I did some further research to try and find out exactly what had happened to him and learned it was all a hoax. I was very relieved, to say the least!

Thanks a bundle, Jean, I was worried about this one. Many do not like or appreciate the author's notes in senryu, but I felt I had to so in this instance. Otherwise, it could have been said that it was merely a quote (which it's not, as far as I know, but certainly sounded like something Mr. King would say, LOL), and not a poem or senryu at all.

Thanks, Bill, and it was indeed a very happy day for yours truly when I learned the following day that it was all a hoax! So close on the heels of Robin Williams death would have been too much to bear. I idolized them both.

Yes, it is hard to believe that people could be so cruel, livelylinda. And I apologize if it came across as tacky to you, it wasn't meant to be. I was only interpreting his reaction to such a cruel hoax, and I'm sure he took it all with a good laugh, knowing Stephen as I do.

I converse with him through email from time to time. He liked one of my stories so much (I think my wife sent it to him, or my daughter) that he began to email me from time to time. I've never met him in person, although I'd like to.

There have been a lot of hoax's with celebrities dying. When I hear of one dying I do my research before I believe it. I wish Robin Williams was a hoax but sadly it wasn't. :(

I feel the same way, ExperiencingLiphe. When I heard Robin was dead, it tore e up. I grew up watching Mork & Mindy, then followed his career because he never failed to make me laugh. Then, hot on the heels of his passing, came the bogus report of Mr. Kings's death, who I idolize as a writer. I was so very relieved to learn the next day that it was all a hoax.

Thanks, Jax, and when I first saw the news on his Facebook Fansite page, I was nearly beside myself. But, I did a bit of research and found out it was a phony report. It takes all kinds, huh? As for the contest, I'm losing, but there's still time. Keep your fingers crossed for me my buckeye friend! I really appreciate the review.

Thanks, seaglass, and the false report was posted on his Facebook fan page, right on the heels of Robin Williams death. Him being my favorite author, I naturally did my own investigation. It took awhile, but I soon learned it was a hoax, thank goodness!

If this wasn't on fan story and I closed my eyes real tight, I can hear Stephen King saying actually,"My death was a hoax,but sure fun while it lasted.' It takes a lot of creative imagination to take the persona of a famous person and speak their words so precise that people think it's a quote.

I really hate celebrity death hoaxes. They are so depressing and after Robin Williams we don't need it.

Hah ha, thanks, Muffins, but it ain't winning now, not at last check, at least. You're absolutely right, I had to crawl into Mr King's head for a moment (I wouldn't recommend it, or stay too long there. B-R-R-R-R-R!) and actually think what or how he might respond. I don't usually post author's notes in senryu or haiku, but if I hadn't, I would have been accused of plagiarizing his quote, and turning it into a poem. So, I kinda' felt I had to this time.

I truly appreciate your entertaining and fun comments, and the exceptional six star rating as well.
