hmmm acrostic poems ya got to love 'm and ya got to hate'm as well. this my friend is very well crafted just don't fall in the trap of letting your letter words govern the poem and lose track of a collective meaning. you see a lot of acrostic poets fall into that trap.
well done..loving the comic sans font

Thank you for your comments and your tip. This is the first time I have tried an acrostic poem of this length. It took several re-writes. RJ

VERY NICE ACROSTIC POEM. VERY DEEP PHILOSOPHICAL AND REFLECTIVE MESSAGE. ONE OF MAN'S GREATEST WORRY IS A KNOWLEDGE THAT ULTIMATELY ONE MUST EMBARK ON AN ETERNAL JOURNEY AND KNOWING NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT WHAT LIES ON THE OTHER SIDE!GOOD JOB!

I just cannot do it. There is so much in here. It is not something one reviews. It is something one studies for meaning. It is also something that you can do quick reads to bask in glimpses of thoughts and then recite it to do the same with different thoughts and glimpses.

I read a poem 60 years ago titled, "The Metro."

The apparition of these faces
white petals on a black bough.

Lengthy Ph.D theses were written about it. I believe you have the equivalent of ten or more "metros" in this one.

Thank you for your kind word, the way you studied it, and the six stars. There was a lot here, I wanted to leave a message with meaning. RJ

The concept of dying is a difficult one to accept, especially when it is of a loved one. Life and all its joys suddenly feels flat and one has a feeling of hopelessness. Faith is the only thing to carry one forward. Well chosen words and imagery to convey your thoughts. Well written acrostic. Faye

I have enjoyed this acrostic poem, though the titled confused me a bit, as an acrostic poem title should be the same as the read first letter of each line, thus this poem should have been titled 'Living In A Conundrum'. In saying this which in fact has nothing to do with the excellent work of this beautiful poem, is truly remarkable and I have enjoyed reading it this morning.

Thank you for your nice review. I do agree with you on the title. Living In A Conundrum was the original title. After I finished writing the title didn't fit, so I stepped out of the box and changed it. It was my first attempt at an acrostic poem this long. I'm glad you enjoyed it. RJ

I enjoyed the pose and then the answer, when we operate in a foggy, dimly lit, limited informational atmosphere that we live in, wisdom is hard to find, so your pearls here are well thought out, articulate, beautifully expressed. Blessings, Roy.

Living in a conundrum! A well worded acrostic done with deep thoughts about life. Yes, everyone have good thoughts for himself or herself, but life has its own plans and thought for us. You have carefully narrated this journey of life,
"Now, forever chosen path taken
remains special, individual
Gamble, seeking paradise
personal risk is a must"

This is a most profound and beautiful poem, an acrostic to challenge and provoke thought in even the most skeptical, since what you describe seems to be something shared by everyone as death approaches. Many thanks for sharing these insights.

This is good. I think you and all are contemplating life at this time, with wars and rumours of wars, and so forth. Lots to think about and ponder. The ifs, ands and buts of life.
