Hi Brooke, another brilliant piece of writing about the shadow dance, My shadow unfortunately my shadow seems a lot bigger these days, great picture of Sawyer to accompany.

Another great poem. I've not given much thought to my shadow for many, many years. The photograph of Sawyer is terrific. Great job.

Di, thank you so much for the smile and the generous sixth star. I don't think in rhyme now, but I came close to it when my kids were little and I read them rhyming books over and over and over again :-) Brooke

You always write amazing poetry, Brooke. And I can see that your grandson is excellent inspiration. I think shadows do fascinate new little people (as well as some of us older ones). The fact that shadows almost always tag along adds to their mysteriousness. Exceptional writing with flawless rhythm, rhyme and imagery. Blessings, Linda

How cute. It must be amazing when you first discover your shadow. He mimics everything you do and you can have so much fun. I think as we grow older we don't really ever think about our shadow. But it is always there. Well penned. I loved. luv jada

This is reminiscent of Robert Louis Stevenson's "I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me". This is another delightful quatrain and, as usual, accompanied by that young charmer, Sawyer.

A poem to allow us to transcend the mundane and linger, albeit briefly, in a magical childhood world of mystery and fun

So lovely, this poem about Sawyer and his shadow.. I can remember when I was a child I was fascinated by shadows too.
Smooth flow and great rhyme. And what I love the most, you
can replace you in the world of a child. Fia

Dear Brooke,
Make sure young Sawyer does not get his shadow stuck in a closed window a la Peter Pan, but I guess it might be OK if his Wendy Nana can sew. Can you??

Reg, thanks so much :-) Nope, the kid is in deep trouble if he is depending on his Grandma to sew anything. LOL Brooke :-)
