This is just so fine. Yes, we all wondered as kids where the shadows disappeared as the sun goes down only to reappear with the sun again. Good solid rhyming work done in a simple language. Takes mind back to good old days of a kids innocence.

Hi Brooke, are you sure Sawyer isn't a child star :) ...a fun poem about a little happy dance and an imaginary friend...this reminds me of doing duck hands on the wall, lol. great job!

This is an awesome poem, Brooke, and I have certainly missed reading your work. (I guess I missed Fanstory in general, and have recently re-signed for a year!) Your grandson is surely growing!!!!

For when the morning sun appears,
my shadow tags along,
and he and I have always known --
together, we belong.
sweet poem Booke

"Me and my shadow," I loved that old song. when I heard it on the radio, I always thought, as long as the sun shines I am never totally alone.
Another fun poem Brooke, as always it reads so perfectly aloud.

As always, this is a very well written poem. Your words flow well and your descriptions are so well done. Wondering if you watched Peter Pan at all before this or if it was just the photo that brought it on ;)

Great picture to go with the thought. Reminds me of the "My Shadow" poem from childhood. I am sure you remember.
This is well done. I like the last four stanzas the best, where it tells of the interaction between the child and the shadow.
Thanks, Anita
