And why do they love the bags or boxes that cost nothing compared to the expensive toys we buy? Amazing how that bag becomes a fort and the box a boat. Sawyer has discovered the amazing world of make-believe. A lovely write that expresses the world of childhood. Let us not forget. Beautiful Brooke.
Smiles, Robin :)

Ah Brooke, this is a sweet poem and I needed one like this. Sweet surprises, I like. What a delightful picture of Sawyer with that sweet innocent look on his face. It just gave me a lift. I like the way you present things that turn from bad to good. Great job.

How true! Just thinking of Robin Williams and if he could hang on one or two more days, things could better. Love the image of falling rocks. I know I 've had moments of sweet surprise such as when my children call just to say hello.

a perfectly rhymed poem that reminds us that good things happen when we least expect them. I've found that even with unpleasant situations, there can be hidden gifts.

Happiness is everywhere you just have to open your eyes and look around. The poem itself made me smile and the photo brought it all together for me. Great job. Thank you.

You have captured the wonderful sense of surprise when hidden things are revealed. The breathless anticipation of unwrapping of presents is more than half the joy! Clever to extend the idea to situations where looming disaster is not only averted but also, surprisingly, sometimes smooths our way:
"You never know when falling rocks
might turn to stepping stones"
I enjoyed this poem that went beyond whimsy and dark clouds to reveal the silver lining.

I love your optimistic message about life
yes sometimes the negative may have a positive outcome.
Like finding a Sawyer in a simple shopping bag, LOL.

I love the symbolic way the bigger and more worldly things are represented in this. Closing the eyes as a way of focusing on what is real and what is an image. Maybe I'm going too deep with this. Great poem. Great rhyming and flow.

Ah, a beautiful melodic poem set to music
as it falls in soft folds down the screen whispering
to look beyond the circle that you're so comfortable
in, take a chance, there's a whole new world out
there.
A poem structured so beautifully with a message
on roads we travel on in life itself.
Well done
