Just for fun? What a wonderful fun bringing all these memorable pasts to the mind. You dug into the archives of time and came out with some memories that stings our present hearts. Nice one

I enjoyed reading your 'just for fun' poem. It made me remember some old memories of childhood gone by. We won't discuss how long ago those memories are.

Nicely penned poem about first love, gw.

Your poem has a lovely, smooth rhythm. Your rhyming, both perfect and approximate, is well done. Not quite sure about engaged and brain (a bit of a stretch :)

I like the final line:

Do you remember?

Thanks for sharing. Alana

Beautiful poem, which reminds me about the lyrics of a beautiful French song I heard when I was a child in the 80s. That song relates a summer love story which happened during summer holidays in France, and the hope the singer keeps of seeing his summer loved one for the next holidays. An agreeable poem to read. Good job.

I'm sure many readers will be able to relate to this. A common topic, but you conveyed it in a unique manner and made it more enjoyable than the average read. Well done.

Ah yes interesting question 'Would I remember , if seeing you today?' Summers long ago seemed so much more carefree and fun - and in interesting pic

A beautiful nostalgic look at first love. This poem reads so gently - like a love letter. It's so touchingly innocent. Summer love is the best, it seems.

Lovely moments of two people engaged in each other in fine free verse. Memories are always rich of first love. My first crush began in fourth grade with a girl whose face was freckled. I was too shy to tell her and she moved away from our school. The next time I met her was at a wedding I ushered. She was awesome being 9th months pregnant. I told her that she had been my first crush and she gave me a hug.

deepwater: they remember and spend a lifetime making excuses to themselves about how it was your fault. Not a funny thing at all when the ONE leaves you or you find out they are a sociopath and have to leave them. Nice writing with cute picture. Remember those good days and keep that basket full of positive memories close by your side. livelylinda
