This poem has a purposeful message about being alert to what gives life its meaning. Some spend time hoping happiness will drop in their laps and not notice it sitting alongside.

AHHHH, this is an ahhh, poem and I am a sucker for ahh, poems. You did a great job writing this poem. It's so true love is special. Whether it's friendship love, parent child love, husband wife love, or the love of our Lord and Savior, humans need love.

It's a magnificent poem, Brooke. The words are more effective in meaning because of the picture you used. The innocence is seen in the children, as well as the emotions of love. Michelle

Oh my! What a striking photo! Your books with Miranda's photos can't lose. Just need to get into stores. Hope I live to see that day. :)))))
Wonderful message here, and so verrry true, for any age. Well done! :)

I love the little girl in the photo, she certainly appears to be sauntering with love. The poem is precious and of course I find no fault. Your pieces always leave me with a smile. Blessings~

What a deep strings of philosophy you spawn in this poem. Great and deep work of thoughtfulness, I cannot do but reflect on the second stanza again "for in love's possibility
lies hope for each tomorrow,
where heedless inattention
can only lead to sorrow,"

Your Commentary and Philosophy poem written in 8/7/8/7 quatrains is just perfect. Such a beautiful and insightful commentary especially brought forward in your second stanza. There is no correction to be made; but all inspiration to take. Thanks for sharing; God bless!

Dear Brooke, I have to give you a six for this my friend. The picture itself is worth a 7. If love could walk up everyone's way wouldn't this world be so much better. Your meter and rhyme are always spot on. Thank you for sharing. Great job, Shirley

How many of us have missed out on romance by not paying attention to love's sweet promise that is right before our inattentive eyes? I cannot begin to tell you how silly I have felt when I discovered that I missed the attempts od someone quite lovely who had failed to attract my attention. Your poem speaks volumes. God help me and other clueless men. LOL.
