I admire your smooth flow of words that adds to the ease of the rhyming quatrains,a challenging form of poetry for me. Excellent rhyming of words, passing, asking, tomorrow and sorrow all give the poem a feel of emotions. This is an excellent poem for a devotional book.

We all have sorrow sometimes but we do need to look towards love and regain our happiness. Great advice in your lovely poem.

Very nice, I enjoyed reading this piece. I especially like the last stanza:

"and sorrow's such a needless way
to waste away life's passing --
especially when love will thrive
for those who do the asking"

Thanks for sharing.

Dear Brooke - this is lovely to read and even lovelier to ponder over. Loved your images, the waiting and the expectation of what is next such treats of friendship and love. As always excellent work. - Great photo too.
Thanks for sharing.

Such a beautiful poem of love and friendships.
Great picture, so beautiful.
I found the poem flowed easily from line to line connecting easily with your B, D end rhyming.

This is a very sweet rhyming poem with a good message to anyone seeking to be loved. I think the last two lines:
'especially when love will thrive
for those who do the asking.'
Are a really good mantra and a lesson to all.

A wonderful [oem with such a powerful meaning.
"for in love's possibility
lies hope for each tomorrow,
where heedless inattentio n
can only lead to sorrow,..."
Particularly liked this stanza, it speaks the truth. Congratulations on the awards. Pete
