Your words are lovely, and so right for the subject - 'Our bodies charged from endless tease' - a really good phrase. A perfect last line - and the whole poem an injection of nostalgia. I'm not a big fan of romantic poetry, as I find most of them overwritten and cheesy. But this one is neither overwritten or cheesy. It is written in subtle thoughts that flourish in phrases of emotional poetic verve. I enjoyed reading this well written piece of poetic art... John

Your smooth sailing verse brought back some romance and nostalgia to my mind about the first night after wedding. It appeared a bit unrealistic in the context of common dating practice prior to getting engaged that virginity would have a chance to survive till the first night. Nevertheless, your entry is a good one. All the best!

What a romantic rendering of a first night of a honeymoon. I say this because of the gold ring mentioned. The both yearn for each other like two that kept chaste before marriage.
I like the rhyme in the middle of the poem. Especially the triplet which shows it is true and pure love.
This love is as beautiful and open as the rose.
