What's ordinary in the moon,
who makes waves dance without a tune?
That's my review.
That line.
Who wants grass?
Who's owned of ass?
We love what we love.

Aha. I was wondering where it came from? I think your poem inspired one of the ones I wrote myself later in the night.
Reading that maybe be a better review than the pap I wrote as a review. I must have had my muse pulling at my pen at the time :P

A wonderful poem that's asking why the beauty that's there is there? Also shows quote a bit of excitement in just living. My favorite verse is about the moon. It holds such mystery. Great job! Les

I'm glad you added a picture of the entire family and caused the rest of us to ponder about the ordinary. I admired your format and your rhymes in these rhythmic quatrains. Your "moon...makes waves dance without a tune" is memorable. Here's to the "extraordinary" all around us! Hugs and happy new week- Joan

Joan, thank you so much, my friend :-) Sawyer spent the next day playing all the games at Chuck E. Cheese, another extraordinary outing. LOL :-) Brooke

I have decided nothing is ordinary. Life is full of surprises if we look for them. A cute poem. I especially like the first stanza. Take care, my friend~Debbie

Dear VBrooke,
I agree their is nothing ordinary and as you say at the end everything is extraordinary. We are fortunate to have life. Good philosophical outlook.
Warm regards,
Winslow

Comment from OLA THOMAS
Love this work and ask myself "what is ordinary in taking keen interest in what someone thinks is ordinary?" Many times the "ordinary" of one man is the "extra-ordinary of another" depending on individual inclination to life. I love the unitary/mono rhyme employed for this work.

I'm glad you provided the explanation of the picture in your notes, Brooke, as, yes, I did wonder what the delightful picture had to do with the delightful poem. I like the way you set this up with the question repeated at the end of each stanza and then that wonderful last stanza. As always with your poetry, a joy to read!

Extraordinary is my world,
where dew is on the grasses pearled
and dawn makes petals come unfurled --
extraordinary is my world.
Indeed extraordinary...is where a man loves his wife....mother father both united...delighting in their love for Sawyer and having fun together
Extraordinary having their own personal poet documenting it all
Extraordinaire
God bless
