This reminds me of a movie about best friends who grew up under different circumstances, one living the good life, and the other hardly living. I guess we never can get away from our destiny and how we are born is often how we will die.

I find your poem to be somewhat humorous and funny especially in the way that he was killed by a butter knife.
Your imagination in this writing is very inventive and creative Bill while your imagery is very descriptive and expressive throughout.
I do have to say one thing sometimes I wonder where you get these things some of them are truly marvelous. Chuckle! Chuckle!.

Dear Bill - this is a wild card:) But somehow you make it work. I did turn a wee bit green over "killed him with a butter knife" wow my butter knife has just sprouted horns. LOL Ok - nice imagery, different and well penned.
