What a high standard you set us all, Brooke. I wouldn't mind betting that your everyday speech is in rhyme and rhythm!Congratulations again on the awards.

I would like to give you 6 stars for every poem I read by you.
I do think, however, that you have an unfair advantage over most of us. His name is Sawyer. Is Sawyer a family name? My
step-grandfather's last name was Sawyer. He was a really big fellow and I called him Big Daddy. This was back in the dark ages when I was small. He was the county Jailer and having no car, rode his horse, Big Red, to work. He had a heart attack and died on his way to work one day. I have no idea how long he was on the ground as he was by a highway, but in those days there was very little traffic, very few cars period I was terrified by Red. He was so big, more than 17 hands tall I'm sure, and I was very small.

Thanks so much, mommy dear. Nope, Sawyer is not a family name - my daughter was just looking for S names to go with Signore. His twin would have been named Sage had he lived. :-) Brooke

Brooke, I love this one. That could have been written for me when I was a little one. The rhyme and flow of these poems for Sawyer are smooth and fun to read. Sawyer is adorable! :-) Jeanne

I've been out of town Brooke, but now I'm back and can once more enjoy your wonderful poems!
This one is so much fun. I especially like:
my mouth declares it chewless
Your poem is well rhymed, both perfectly and proximately, and flows well. Your use of alliteration is, of course, wonderfully done. Thank you for sharing! Alana

This rhyming quatrain entitled, I love my Mom is a good read!
If it rhymed, did the rhymes seem forced? rhymes did not seem forced
Did the structure make sense? at times, it did not according to the directions the author provided
Did it draw on your emotions? yes
Did it present strong images? yes
Would you recommend it to someone else? yes
Format correct?
Perhaps I am not understanding the format. At the top it says 8/6/8/6 but there were parts that were 8/7/8/7 such as the 1st quatrain. Can you confirm?

You're right, I need to remove that descriptive line and will do so right away
I'm glad you liked the poem other than that.
Thanks for reviewing, Josipher

Funny poem about your grandson. He is one little rascal and you write poetry about it. I smiled and it made my day better. Thanks for sharing.

This one made me laugh as I remembered my girls feeding their peas to the dog sitting under the table. I do believe if I'd made them sit there until they'd cleaned their plates they'd be there still. Maybe Sawyer will become a chef in self-defense. :D Nancy

Sharyn, thank you so much :-) Sawyer is such a fussy eater that he wouldn't eat chicken or any meat no matter what master chef cooked it up. :-) Brooke
