Brillant again- you took them down to one and instead of ending it you started the process all over again!- Loved that... Your grandbabies are lucky to have you... I wonder if they know how special you are?

This gorgeous work supplies much for little children. It's a counting game and it tells a story, too. Then it teaches about reproduction in the dandelion world! Giddy

This is a delightful rhyming poem that reminds me of many children poems and book used to teach pre-K kids numbers. I also reminds me of days hacking this little beauty out of my lawn. The poem has a friendly view of dandelions naming several ways they are used.

Great job writing a poem for children. I like that you counted dandelions. I like they rhyme scheme that you used. Great picture as well.

Even though I could guess the ending, I had a fun time getting there and enjoyed every stanza. It was a delight to read this.

Hello Brooke,
This piece put a smile on my face! I like your take off, of the old "Ten Little Indians" rhyme. I thought you used great imagination and imagery in this write of numbers. Has Sawyer started counting, yet? When he gets to that stage he will have plenty of material, from grandma, to practice with, lol.
I wish I would have started something like this when my grand kids were young. I think my six year old grand daughter is smarter than I am, at this stage of the game, lol.
All my best, Bill

Brooke your poetry has a talent for making the most of things, finding success through multiples of failures. This one's no exception making the most of fact and fancy, elevating the lowly and often despised dandelion in multitudes. Kenny

This is a wonderful Nursery Rhyme. Flows well
Many descriptive words were used to keep a childs imagination moving right along with the story.
Thank You for sharing.

Yep, Miss one and you'll have a yardfull. I gave up long ago
and don't mow until the violets, daffodils and dandelions have seeded. Living creatures fear my lawn. You maintain
your standards here. Young, excellent.
