Good playful words...lopped, not a whit, also great rhyming. Another catchy named character, good job with this subject for the poem:)

I love the name of the character Samuel James Nehemiah Hill
I just would not like to write it in school. LOL I like this little story it flows nice and I bet Sawyer just will love it too. Add it to the collection.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Brooke,

I enjoyed this cool tale of Samuel Hill
A man with the power to make water still
Complete with a knowledge to master each day
while holding large carnivores under his sway.

What a guy! Lol.
I appreciated you usual solid meter and rhyme, and enjoyed the theme of this playful write, well done.
All my best, Bill

Hi Brooke,

Another enjoyable nonsense tale to add to your 'Sawyer Collection' one day.

Fun to read, I hope Sawyer enjoyed his game on the dinosaurs.

Where did you find that name? It's a real tongue twister. Oh that photo, when I saw Sawyer's little face, well he looks terrified!! And I don't blame him, that is one big old grizzly something of other! LOL. Bet he had a whale of a time. I loved this poem, Brooke, it is really delightful, even with the wonderful name, which I did eventually master. Don't tell me there is actually someone out there with that name? LOL. :) Sandra

Sandra, nope, I pieced the name together :-) Thanks so much for your review. My daughter caught him shouting the last syllable of her name, Momma, which produces the open-mouthed terrified look. She is so clever :-) It is a great dinosaur exhibit that they've visited twice and intend to return to again :-) Brooke

Does Miranda sell her photos? She has a real talent there. She seems to know exactly when to take the shot. I know a lot of people do, and some are quite famous for being at the right spot at the right time. Apart from that, your pieced together name, was brilliant!

No, she hasn't done anything professionally with her photography, but she really should :-)

I agree, perhaps you should suggest it to her. It would be a shame not to. xx

I love the whimsy of this. The name alone would tickle anyone's fancy. Great use of rhyme that really suits the humorous purposes of this poem. You really make Samuel Hill's exploits sound very daring--roping a platypus, tracking a dinosaur, making waterfalls stop, staring down a grizzly. Samuel Hill's adventures are legendary, worthy of a movie, like "The Raiders of the Lost Ark." Just a delight. judi

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

When does a heroic figure become a legend? Surely when he forever attracts our admiring attention. Our poet sketches her figure with consummate aplomb. She mixes a titillating humor with a hint of seriousness; all with the freshness of her language. Her images and cadence blend in perfectly. I hope I am making some sense. -Ekim777
