Samuel James Nehemiah Hill is one adventurous dude. Another wondrous big mouthful name that's fun to say and fun to read about. Another one of Sawyer's personalities uncovered. Loved the expression on his face - That's true terror. Is Alfred Hitchcock related to your family in any way?
I've often wondered who in the Sam Hill, Sam Hill was - now I know.

Thanks so much, Rose, for your humor and your review :-) I am one of Hitchcock's biggest fans, if that counts. LOL :-) Brooke

Hmmm - Yes, being a fan of his is showing in the delight of fright on Sawyer's little face. Discovery sometimes can scare the pants off you. I read an interview with Hitchcock many years ago. They asked him what suspense is and where it comes from - He said it was in human nature - This is not a direct quote - but he said something similar:
"When a loving nurturing mother looks into her baby's face and says BOO! What makes them do that? That's what I'm going for - the BOO!"

Brooke: great, fun poem for your Sawyer collection. It had me smiling and giggling like a little kid, much like Sawyer in this picture. You are such a wonderful grandma! Linda

This is so imaginative and fun! Great images
throughout that would appeal to children.
Strong meter and rhythm appropriate to subject.
Another poem that should be published IMHO!

I love this beautiful child's musing about these imaginary characters tamed by the legendary Samuel Hill.
The pictures that these lines evoke are typical of what a child would have in their imaginary arsenal, and the photo of Sawyer, compliments the writing perfectly.
The rhyming scheme and meter moves the poem along.
Well done.

Dear Brooke - Took me a bit to find Cutie Pie in amongst that dinosaur:) His face so expressive in this one. LOL
Nice strong children's poem. Again you use great word choices suitable for kids, and their ability to get into the lyrical part of reading a story. Nicely done with your skill this is a breeze to read.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much, Maureen :-) This exhibit is only at the convention center in Pasadena for a couple of months - Sawyer likes it so much that they've been there twice and intend to return once more before it moves on to some other city :-) Brooke
