Good poetry opens a window in your spirit and allows you to peek inside on your soul. It affords you the flight of imagination and wonderment as to its precise and exact meaning (which in many ways should be subjective). "Too Ordinary" takes you on that journey. Well done.

Thunderstorm's peaceful violence. I found this line to be profound in its contradiction. And yet I understand the feeling. Somehow you have captivated the essence of the thunderstorms that I so love. The entire piece is excellent. The flow of the words is outstanding.

How very nice of you. I am glad you completely "got it" about the thunderstorms. When I wrote it, I thought this sounds ridiculous-but, it did convey that feeling.

Beautifully composed piece. I was surprised by the ease in which the words flow off the tongue. Also, for the sparseness of words, it is quite visual. It was an enjoyable read.

I bagged it and wrapped it, thank you. (smile) Mareen, you have hit upon something I try very hard to do, but couldn't probably elucidate it to you. And that is, I choose words, (if possible, and if appropo), that not only play their obvious role in the sentence, but that bring with them other images, connotations, etc. A more complex dish to set before the king. You have incredible observational powers. Probably old magics. :)
