Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

The poem is lovely, very true, and touches the heart; the background story is also very touching and the photo is most endearing.

The story in this poem came through really strong, you highlight the difference between sharing your life with someone and been alone, your wording was perfect and it flowed so effortlessly, and the picture is super cute :)

I liked how you gave both solitude and love a color designation in your first stanza, Brooke. Interesting...

I also enjoyed the touching, sugary-sweet sentiment of the message overall.

Well done.

That is so sweet, (I'm talking about Sawyer now) words like that from your child is worth millions in the bank, no contest. What a lovely poem, Brooke, very suitable after what Sawyer said to Miranda. Doesn't it make you take a deep breath and smile? Poem and author notes, lovely! xsx sandra

Awww. An excellent story, and a great poem to match the mood and the photo. Solitude is a lonely place, which is something that I'm sure Sawyer doesn't experience often.

The poem is beautifully written, but a little sad, like solitude can be. Especially if one would rather have someone to share their solitude with - a paradox, I'm sure.

Rose.

What a precious moment. Any mother or grandmother can grasp the incredible gift a little one can bestow by demonstrating love as simply and sincerely as you describe. It's a gift one never forgets. You describe it well.

Great work! It mostly rhymes which gives it a nice flow. The picture is perfect and I enjoyed the author notes: you don't see that much in children these days. It's refreshing to read about the simplicity of children as the complexities of life tick by with the clock :)

Keep up the good work. God bless.
