Awwww-and that's for the author's notes, not just that adorable poem. I've been off the site for a few days and this is sure a wonderful way to start my reviewing again. :)

What a sweet story Brooke. . One to leave any grandma teary eyed. Adorable picture of Sawyer and his mom. Great message -- thought provoking and a wonderful comparison explaining solitude and love.

Dear Brooke,
This was a very cute and thoughtful poem. I think solitude is a pulling back, a reaction to being hurt. Though simple and straightforward, it told the story effectively. Great job--Ted

Hi there

Your comments made this even more special. Lovely photo of daughter/son. Such bonds are very hard to describe in words. As always, you do it so well.

Marion.

Hi Brooke,
the cutest photo laid-way for a set of quatrains that had 'being in the company of' a true winner... impact with the emphasis on solitude and love.

The comparison's put it into perspective... I vote for love with just a sprinkling of solitude... smile)))))))))

wonderful construction Brooke... you've made me all clucky.

With our thoughts we create,
motherly love,
James xx

Excellent Poem! The author's words are heart felt and thought provoking. The poem is creative, heart felt and
sweet. I pondered on the word solitude. The last stanza
of this poem defines it well. The artwork is precious!

A simple poem but effective in communicating the contrast between solitude and love. My favorite line are the alst two lines because it is so true:
"Solitude is what remains,
when love is left behind."
Well done, Brooke.

This is a really great poem. I loved the way you compared solitude and how it makes you feel to love and how it makes you feel. Great job!

Mama is very cute, and, of course, so is Sawyer. You will be so glad later on that you have written these poems about him. They will bring back so many happy memories. They are a family treasure. --Elaine

(Coincidentally, I was just about to write about this poem when I saw your review of mine. Thanks again.)
