Beautiful as always :)

I love the images you assign to both love and solitude. For love, blooms of gold and rising sun. For solitude, blue rainy days. This is very effective in illuminating your message.

The back story to the poem is so sweet!

That is so cute, Brooke. Is this your first grandchild?
This poem is so good. You just seem to be so gifted. It's like you don't even have to work on it. How long do I have to save my six stars, do you know?

Thank you, Drew :-) Yes, he is my one and only :-) You can only give the same writer four stars in a 30 day period, so you have to wait 30 days from the first one you gave. Brooke

I guess you meant six stars in a 30 day period. Thanks for telling me that. I had no idea.

Hi Brooke,

What a heartwarming story! So nice of you to share it with us. Kids can do and say the neatest thing.

We were at the dog races one time when the boys were 5 & 7. Bo, the 5-yr old, right in the middle of the snack area said, 'Mom, I love you'....Yep, I floated for quite a while!('-')

Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'.... Jax

I must say, I thought this poem was beautiful. I love the picture you put along with it, adds a personal touch. I think you're comparisons of love to solitude are absolutely right, beautiful in symbolism, and at the same time very literal. I just keep reason it over and over again. Great words:)

What do I love more, the moving delicious Sawyer loving words to his mom
or your terrific poem? It is a problem to answer, let's say they both
moved me , both are so loving and your poetic gift shines. Pili

This was another great poem. I liked the comparison of love and solitude. I love the author notes. "You're so cute... It even made this grandma teary eyed. Great poem and story.

Once again, and why am I not surprised, you hit the nail on the head. Oh yes, very gently as is you style, wouldn't want to damage either hammer, nail piece of whatever the nail was nailing. Lovely poem..lovely reason for poem.
