This is such an emotional, heartfelt poem, Nancy! I just really feel the meaning in your couplet! I like the quatrains and the rhyme scheme! The photo absolutely renders the lonely reflective thinking she is doing and also captures her loneliness and solitude! Great poem, great work! Lots of passion felt in this work of expression!! :)

This is beautiful, Nancy, and as I read the last two lines, I felt as if it could even be sung to some melody. Your rhyme and meter are perfect, and this appears to be in sonnet form--a form that you are quite an expert at writing. My best to you in the contest. I thought I had reviewed this one yesterday but somehow it didn't post. Anyway it is beautiful and well crafted. Perfect for the contest as it depicts a very special love that has continued even though death has intervened.
Beautiful phrasing, rhyme, meter imagery etc.
