Very good message in short space of the macaw. Like the memories to soar with and empty nest. I followed the Decorah Eagles with the mom and dad watching over three baby eagles until the last one flew away. Amazing to watch. Dreams fulfilled, we all desire this. Excellent thoughts.

You need a space after 'flown', Mikey.
Top 's' and 'f' alliteration.
Apparently the last bird has flown the nest, so I don't quite undersand 'one to follow' in last lne.
I suspect there's a clever spiritualist message, but it 'flies' (excuse the pun) over my dim head.
Certainly thought-provoking, and therefore entertaining.

Maybe we should heed the lesson from the Spix -- there is a time to let go and soar. Some choose to stay earthbound. Best wishes with the entry that caused me to stop and ponder. :-)

I do have a macaw. I have an obnoxious spoiled Green Wing Macaw. They are one of the biggest. He's 22 years old, Seemore. They live as long as we do. The Spix is smaller and there is one or two left. One is mated to a different species which they can do. The other one is solo. They are the color of the type in the piece, a light blue. Parrots have huge brains like ours. I'm an expert on parrots. One of those things that doesn't make me any money. Hahaha. mikey

My African Grey, RIP, used to call me Shithole. Hahaha. Only me and she called me that with a really sweet voice too. She never called anyone else that. Seemore says c'mon all the damn time starting at about 6 in the morning. So, it's going on three now. That's how my day begins!!
