I read this work through twice. Very nicely written and beautifully presented. The cycle of life is a poetic journey through the life from birth to death. Loved the inclusion of faith. Excellent.

I really enjoyed reading this beautiful poem. Everything about it has a feeling of a flowing cycle. The words describe life, the format shows flowing rhythm, and the picture with the swirling tree limbs compliments your wonderful work. Rubylou

The poem flows along the natural environment.Until maturity of a being displayed in his eyesight the creation of God.The sunlight completes the interdependence of plants and animals.Life on earth is a shadow.Compared to a flower,wither and die.Only physical body remained in the soil to decompose.After all, there is second birth in spirit if one seeks the reality of God.Nice sharing! I enjoyed reading.Thanks!

You are indeed everything, expressed in excellent examples of birth, beauty, experience, growth and death.
Maybe just the shell decomposes, but the spirit lives on, having gained the experience. I hope so. :-)

This is beautiful. It is well structured, divided in uneven stanzas to emphasize complete thoughts. I like the theme of oneness with all. If we recognized the oneness there would be more harmony.

Wow, you write like me when I leave free verse up to the reader's imagination! This can be all of nature meeting up with the universe, or so much more or even less. All we really know is that, at the end, we return to the earth and to God. I love this about free verse, so many interpretations! . . .Sharon

I too love expressions in free verse. It doesn't get all muddied up with the if's, and's and but's and trying to get in the rhyme and meter. Thanks so much:)

this is an exquisite piece of poetic art! being one with nature calls the idea that you shouldn't be looking through the eyes of culture. however we may never say that we can see nature without a filter.
