Excellent triolet, Brooke, that could be either directed at Sawyer, or be a dedication - fictional or not - to a special lover.

Top repeating lines, great flow, and a pleasure to read.

Cheers, Ray.

    Thank you so much, Ray - it's been so long since I've felt romance that even my fictional lovers are far in my past LOL Brooke

A nice poem. It really captures the human heart in it's finest capacity; the gentle love of family. I always love these poems you write about family. They make me smile.

The bond between the teacher and the student is one of the strongest on earth. This is very well written. Good luck in your contest.

I think you've got a great contender here, Brooke. The discipline of the triolet, truly exercised, is secondary to the ease of the verse, aide by excellent enjambment. It's a good fit. Kenny

What a lovely photograph! Thank you for sharing.
A well=penned triolet of the importance and strength of love among family, especially the bond between mother and child;
"remaining on this planet Earth"--the planet not so lonely when in the presence of those we greatly treasure.

I love it. The simple beauty of this delightful poem is clean, clear and uplifting all at the same time. I am not very familiar with this style of poem, but it seems to be a good style and I like it. Oh and by the way, your daughter and grandson are beautiful. I'm sure that you must be very proud.

Lovely little triolet, appropriate for the photo. From their smiles, it certainly looks like they're content with just each other. Miranda looks so much like you, and Sawyer seems to have inherited the same 'happy to be alive' expression. I wouldn't mind being the third person on their planet. :)

    Thank you so much, Phyllis :-) Yep, the two of them are quite the pair, though I'm glad they make room in their lives for me and for Sawyer's daddy and the rest of us who love them both :-) Brooke
