The triolet is one of my favorite forms to read. They just flow so smoothly. Yours is light and airy just like I like:)

Oh so beautiful, mother and son. I have often told my husband that he misses out on the relationship I have with the boys because we didn't have a daughter. I know my dad and I have a special relationship and my boys and I do too. Wonderful poem.

Excellent Triolet, the form is perfect. The theme appeals to all ages. And reminds us the importance of love in our lives. The scenery is outstanding. Good work.

Hi Brooke,

What a beautiful photo. They look so relaxed and full of life. Fun day.

What is it about the vastness of the water, a gentle rain, or falling snow that brings such peace?

Nicely composed poem. Good luck in the contest.

Cheers * Blessings
Keep Smilin'... Jax

A lively triolet that celebrates the love between mother and son. I like the way you celebrate living for love of another. That's what mommies (and Grandmas) do! :D Nancy

What a sweet little triolet and you do it with such ease we don't even notice the repeat lines. Darling picture of Sawyer and his happy mom. They are quite a pair. Good luck in the contest! Nancy

Oh Brooke, this is such a saccharine sweet, wonderful jewel of a Triolet, my talented poetic friend. Perfect composition, (which is nothing new as far as you are concerned), excellent rhyming with two/drew, worth/earth...and many others.

I would love to dedicate this to my kids on facebook, with your name as the author and a link to read it on the website, of course. It is the perfect poem, in my humble estimation, to give to a member of your family whom you love so dearly.

Perfect, in every way. How can this lose?

    Do I list you as adewpearl, or Brooke...I'm not sure of your last name. Is it Monroe? Which would you prefer?

    Oh, yes, and you're very welcome, LOL... :}

    Baldwin! That's it...

In this triolet, with its unique rhyme pattern,the persona cherishes "every breath..." of his; he "savors life for all it's worth"; but is so at pains to imagine how passionately he should react, "if there were only we two...". It is a simple verse, rather appreciating unconditional love.
