"Ess has been HORED to find Daisy...." HORED??? I can't figured what that word is. Oh, maybe HIRED??
"It strikes me that any woman that has the force of will to resist me for so long isn't going to turn aside at the first obstacle." LOL! I can't help but admire such male bravado. LOL!
"He opened a book at a page marked by a sock. Ess could only hope it was washed." LOL! I lost a sock while finishing getting dressed in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago. I found it a day later in the fruit bin of the refrigerator. I can relate. LOL!
"So, ready for the potted PRA@CIS...Whatever that word is, the Editor has done such a bang up job of it, I can't figure what it's supposed to be.
"They have a PREVIOUS for kidnapping." Must be a British way of saying it. Never saw PREVIOUS used in this way before.
"You bloody stupid cow, of course I care..." In North America, this sounds like a really bad insult. I know, in Britain, it has an affectionate overtone, but here, it's drastic! You'll need an Americanized version of the story when you make it big, like they do with the Harry Potter books.
Yeah, I love Oz. He might have a point, though. If I had to deal with fairies, I'd bring the iron, rowan and stale bread.
Reading you is always such fun, snod. Worth waiting for from one chapter to the next.

it was précis, which the reply box will probably screw up too. a summary of a work. To have a previous is slang for a previous conviction. Yes, it's an English (especially London) thing, as is cow, but be fair. It's set in London ;)
I love the way they changed the Harry Potter title from Philosopher's Stone, because they didn't think Americans would know what a philosopher was. Thanks for the review

You're such an arrogant Englishman. LOL! You love taking a stab at Americans, don't you? I get the feeling it's a love-hate relationship.

Protection against superstition are for the with little mental power. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Thanks. Ess used the force of her anger once, but it was a struggle. It might be enough that the fairies believe it. Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it

"So, ready for the potted pr©cis and pertinent plot points?" Needs edit.
Damn,now I lost my place....
I found no other bad spots and your prose are excellent and a pleasure to read. Not too common on this site.

Thanks. Yes, the editor mangles accents, so the e acute in precis gets mangled.
Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it
