Not much I can say here except this poem needs to be placed everywhere to remind the human race to hug more often. Praise for Sawyer hugging his plush puppy. Excellent poetic form.

Amazing. Pithy, but profound. You make us surrender our complex theories and technical approaches to conflicts, and consider the innocent and obvious truth. The fact that there are those who will always chose war makes this simple truth no less valid.

It would be wonderful if we could 'arm' ourselves with caring and concern for others instead of any other type of 'arms'. Our arm are much better used to hug our loved ones.

Great message here. If we all hugged our "teddy's" once in awhile there would be no wars. Great job bringing these words out for us!

Hi, Brooke.
You deliver a lovely thought in this poem. You've utilized the form really well to get your point across. It is up to one's choice what he/she makes out of present resources.
He who hugs is not inclined
to arm himself for war.
Nice use of H alliteration.
These lines are so true:
Instinct ought to have more say
in what our arms are for.
Good use of R consonance as well.
Nithing could be a better choice than using arms for hugs. Lovely poem! :)
Regards,
Anupam

Your poem is short, but I liked it very much. And, once again, your photograph of Sawyer is oh so charming. As he ages, he'll be so proud to know that you displayed his picture with your poems. Great job.

I'm back! I don't know how this could be improved, frankly. Such a beautiful picture of Sawyer, and such a beautiful, and heartfelt, sentiment. It seems to me you've followed this format to a "t" and also expressed an important philosophy, in just a few words. So well done.
