Hi Brooke,
The six should say it all
But the rules declare
I have to give you more
At least a line or three
For you to accept my score
Very well written, as always, Buck

Ahhh he is a lover not a fighter - I wish that could be said of my boys - I can hear them right now yelling from the next room! Oh MY.

It's much easier to be a lover without a sibling - when my two kids were little, I would make an effort to spend time alone with each of them. One at a time, they were both ANGELS. Together, not so much LOL Thanks so much for your review :-) Brooke

I hear that!

Surprisingly enough we were created with the instinct to love, to warmly hug and freely express happiness and joy. Jealousy sparked the first lie, followed by even more envy and eventually murder. Things have only gotten progressively worse. I cry for our future.

Linda, thank you so very much - all the men who have died in war from hundreds and hundreds of years were once precious toddlers cuddling with their toys - it's enough to make me cry. Brooke

it truly is Brooke...you are so welcome...xxoo

I think your epigram says it all. Arms should be for hugging. Ever since the plane was shot down, channel 2 has been running a song and pictures of folks all over the world - hugging. Thanks for sharing I could smell bananas in Sawyer's breakfast!

Kay, thank you so much, my friend :-) Sawyer likes so few foods - thank goodness for those he does eat, like bananas :-) Brooke

Interesting that I could smell bananas? That is my psychic side I guess.

Oh, absolutely! I've always thought and this confirms that you are a master of writing epigrams, Brooke. You have a beautiful play on 'arms'. I love this little gem and wish it could be pro claimed around the world! Giddy

Beautiful poem! How true this is. Especially thinking of what is going on now in Israel. It is man's natural inclination to hug and embrace in happy/sad times. Arms should be used for purity only (as well as every other body part). We should use our bodies in the purest form. Killing and harming is not what we were made for. Thank you for sharing your brilliant thought and words.

A nice play on the double meaning of arms. Yes, they were made for hugging. How ironic that we use the term for killing weapons. Good alliteration with he, hugs, himself.

Love it, Brooke. Perfect play on the word" arms".
In light of what is going on in Gaza, it could not be more timely.
Have representatives from both sides of the conflict in my family. The conversation at last night's gathering was disheartening. For the speakers, death only counted as murder, if it was the people on their side of the conflict.
Hugs,d

Thanks so very much, Diane :-) I can only imagine your awkward family gathering. I hope it didn't get too hostile. Words can't be taken back. It is a terrible time, and to think everyone involved in waging such war was once a toddler, hugging a stuffed animal.

This triggers a waterfall of thoughts in non-laminar flow over turbulent enhancing stimulant word inputs. The pun, arm/arm, intended or not borders on brilliance. Serious puns are so rare, except in the sense of G.B. Shaw with his: when something is funny, search it for hidden truth.
BTW: thanks for working so hard to reward your reviewers, especially me.
