Just beautiful! I love the ocean, and listen to one of those 'ocean sound' cd's when I'm working on my art...you have captured the sound, and the feel in this poem! Blessings...Judy

Any type of water sound is so pleasant. I am happy you enjoyed this one. (You paint, what media?) :-) Carolyn

I use Prismacolor pencils...which are high wax based, and blend like oil paints, I use acrylic paint, oils, watercolor....my recent poems,... Sunrise, Sunset...Tuxedo Waits, ...and Beloved Son...used my artwork...I do portraiture.

I am impressed... I oil paint mostly, but love to draw. I've never used the Prismacolor pencils, I'll try those. I do a lot of watercolor pencil as they are easy to carry everywhere. I'll go back and check out the work on those poems.

A beautiful poem, my friend. The random rhyming quatrains flow together beautifully. I don't think I have ever tried that. I especially like:

Where tides are born to high and low
And God has told them where to flow
To rise at night and ebb by day
As Nature sings them on their way

Have a great evening, my friend~Debbie

Hi there, so good to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed this one. Sometimes a bit of variation lends interest, they don't feel like you have to plan them, they just flow. You would do well in whatever form you used. :-) Carolyn

Very creative, Carolyn and I loved reading this poem of the ocean waves. Flowing water is a very peaceful sound and soothing to the soul. God's creation for sure. Very nice. Miss Sally

Thanks Brooke, for your insightful comments about Ocean's Destiny. When I wrote 'brilliant blend of blue,' I actually wondered if you would take note of the alliteration. You didn't disappoint me. LOL. I always appreciate your encouragement.

LOL. Imagine God being able to redeem the ocean, although you do indicate his hand in the ocean's ebb and flow. Stanza three is my favorite one with its personification of waves.

This is a beautiful poem that the author has created with this piece of writing. Oceans and seas have always evoked the imagination of humans and this poem does them justice.

God's wondrous love, redemption's plan
Includes not ocean waves and sand
But created offspring of His hand
The obedient heart, the soul of man

Hi Carolyn, Here in Montreal it 8 AM, I read this poem and I felt so peaceful, the flow of your rhyming gives your poem a smooth read with lots of love and hope towards God. The comparison of the ocean waves
as tears not knowing where to land, is so beautiful. What a vast variation you put in this poem. Bravo. Hugs Terry xoxo
