A sense of trusting and waiting in Faith for the goodness of God to shine through the trials of the drought enabling us to appreciate that we are not really 'in charge'.

To the author of God's Grace. Oh my goodness, this is a blessed and spiritual story in only 100 words. It seems like you had no trouble at all. It flows so smoothly. Good luck in the contest. Beautiful art work. Carole

Oh it is good to to praise The Lord, " in all things give thanks" I love the fact that that watches over His chosen! A good entry in this 100 word dash! You have a chance with this well written entry! Blessings, Roy. Good luck, well done!

This is a well written story that is expressed in just 100 words. I was glad that he had enough sense to thank God for the rain he had requested.

This is a story that is so basic, yet in its simplicity it says much. No one likes to test prayer, but everyone knows when it's been answered. There is no substitute off the prayers of a righteous soul.

A great story of faith . just when you feel all will be taken away, you walk a little further in His path. Does God test our faith? Yes at times He does. nicely written , very descriptive and creative. A story well done

What a wonderful feat! You related a beautiful message in a few words. Something we should all think about when we write, less is more.

Some small suggestions for you to consider:

too fast, he feared.
Streams swelled through the furrows, battering the wilted stocks.

I don't want to make too fine a point of this, but
deluges aren't a farmers best friend. Slow and steady rain is best after droughts. I know I'm being too literal, but that's the way it is.

I hate these word-count prompts, but I get 98.

Peace, Lee

You're right, Lee. Farmers, like most of us, prefer slow, steady rain, not deluges like they got in Colorado yesterday. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I would not change a word of this wonderful story. You have marvelously written a heart-warming story of the perils of farm life.
Nicely done. Great use of so few words. Good luck in the contest.
