Absolutely, gave me chills...the news gives me chills, the hate freeze me, the anger bombs me, and everybody dies.
All the blood running down the roads contain the same DNA. How foolish, how stupid.

A great naani that is accompanied by a heartbreaking photo. Unfortunately, one side agreed now to a ceasefire and was unable to keep it due to the refusal of the other. Truly a sad situation when all one side wants is death. The children continue to die. Best wishes in the voting booth.

    Thanks, Karen.

It is a true tragedy with no sign of an end to the senseless violence.

Horrific and timely piece of poetry. Breaks your heart to see what the realities of war do to bystanders. The unacceptable toll upon the citizens. AT=/

You art work choice speaks volumes about the horrific carnage occurring all across the world, as two countries strike out in anger which leads to war. Feel such tragic loss calls for harsher words than you chose when discussing the terms of cease-fire.

To the author of Mutual Madness. How very true of many situations in the forefront of today. The wars within the countries are so very sad, because people are dying. The war between the politicians in our government is equally sad, because our country is dying! Great thought provoking piece. Carole

This poem and picture stirs within me sadness and determination. You've captured very well how many people feel about war and the affect it has on everyone, especially the children. Keep writing, please.

I didn't recognise your name so I've been peeking into your portfolio - you seem to be just getting into this stuff more seriously. I thought your poems deserved more than the two or three reviews they have been getting - perhaps you are still working out how to do the promoting that will get them more attention.

I liked 'Armor' best - thought-provoking and the slightly scary suicide story for the 50 word contest - good luck with that.

I love the picture. It is so sad. I love the poem. Grown men fight and the children die. They are called collateral damage. I would hate it if my dead child was called that. We need to grown up and save the children. Great work. Good luck in the contest.

    Thank you!

Yes, collateral damage is an awful euphemism for killing civilians.

This piece meets the criteria of the Naani poem as this piece does not exceed 25 syllables and has the correct number of lines totaling four. Good alliteration with fire/first. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message. Best of luck in the contest.

Powerful and packs great punch, especially for a poem of such a short format. They say a picture paints a thousand word, but yours paints a million!

So sad, but also very true, unfortunately...

Good luck to you in the writing prompt!

Mutual madness indeed. While people negotiate, talk, argue, etc., innocents die. The single minded idea of proving how right one is can cause so much damage.
