Very tragic and disturbing. This write got a rise out of me from my soul. Well written. If this doesn't move the reader, I don't know what would. Thank you for sharing..

Your Naani packs a big punch, Steve! It breaks my heart that children die while leaders cannot compromise. You've done a great job with your message of sadness. Thank you very much, and congratulations on our win. Well deserved. Alana

Congratulations on your win, very poignant words to convey your message. How can anyone from the powers that be ever justify such actions, targeting children civilians, I hope they forever have it on their consciences. Horrific image, and still it goes on. Well written in a few words. Faye

"Mutual Madness" It is a tragic situation in Palestine where the hotheads keep on firing rockets into Israel, hoping that the Israelis will try and avoid firing on women and children in retaliation. If one plays chess, this will be known as a stalemate.

Thank you.
Not much of a stalemate when the death toll is 200 - 1...

Welcome, Steve. There is however, a true perspective here.

This is the true state of the world. Everyone so mistrusting and yet they keep killing each other. No one will ever stop the violence

This is a timely subject for this naani contest. isn't it sad how innocent children die because adults can't work out problems? Pray for peace.

Wishing you a six for this fine poem! Madness indeed, and it continues daily in multiple areas. A fine entry for the contest, good luck! Thanks for sharing.

When the demons run the streets, The innocents suffers. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Powerful statement of war's idiocy! And so damned accurate!
I could nit pick about the proper syllable count of fire - but I'm more than willing to accept the one count (cuz I think that's how most people say it most of the time)
Really nice naani

Hi,
This is an excellent work. The photograph paired with your dynamic words pack a wallop.
You're right, it's the innocents the dies, and still the killing continues. Good luck in the contest.
Cheers & Blessings
