Thanks for this excellent writing. I'm glad to finally see something written for children or from a child's point of view. Great picture to go along with it. But it stands well on it's own too. Good rhythm and interesting read. Thanks.

I wish I had elephants in my neighborhood It would make my walks a little more interesting, especially since I can't down far enough to observe the ants. LOL
Another superb job with a perfect picture. Thanks for sharing.

The photo as always adorable. And it is the way small kids can think. It even rhymes and is very funny. I am trying to review the way one should.

Lovely stuff! Driving through the thick Mopani forests of Zimbabwe, the rough roads are lined with signs that simply say; "Elephants have right of way" and don't they know it. Elephants don't just nibble at the foliage. They tear down the branches. A small herd of those pachyderms can create a devastation anywhere. Elephants are the most sociable of beasts. They visibly mourn their dead and when an old rogue knows he is going to die, he lumbers off to enjoy his final solitude. Some say he seeks out the legendary elephant's graveyard, replete with precious tusks strewn everywhere. -Ekim777

Definitely an enjoyable read. It helps the reader focus on the simpler things in life and takes the reader away from the hectic life of an adult. For a short time but one to reflect on throughout the day.

You just have to admire children and their attention to the minutest details. When my brother was a little kid, he was fascinated with bugs. Your poem brought back some very warm memories. Sawyer seems like a really cool kid. Thanks for sharing.

This is adorable! What I liked about it the most is that it is easy enough for a child to remember. The rhyming is great and it is such a cute little message that is perfect for children. You have such a fantastic imagination. Great poem. Best wishes.

This is so cute and sweet! Nicely done as always... Nice flow, very well written. Love the picture of Sawyer looking for ants, something so typical at his age.
Great job Brooke!

Brooke, I get a kick out of the way you click into a kid's way of thinking. There are countless way to look at this photo, but you see no elephants. I don't see elephants, either. But I didn't even notice.
You have a unique perspective, my friend.
Peace, Lee

Lee, thank you so very much, my friend :-) You really didn't NOTICE the absence of elephants?? And I always credited you with being a pretty observant guy... LOL ;-) Brooke

Truth is, I always look both ways for elephants. You caught me on an off day.
