Hello there~!
Another cute poem! I really loved this one~ The line about nobody wants to be gawking at an elephant's knees was my favourite.
Well Done~
Cute pic as well!
JazakAllah Khair~!

Amusing ending to this poem Brooke. You make your poems always enjoyable to read through the unforced rhyme you use in them, Always making them easy to understand.

Kind regards

sarah

Ahhh to be a child again and see the world with wonder, creativity and awe. To believe that nothing is impossible. great poem as always. Your poems are always inspired by something dear to you and they have a wonderful human quality to them. Thanks for posting.

Oh, my dear sweet little Sawyer. You'll just have to come and visit jada so you can go walk with the elephants. Only one and a half hours away. We can also see monkeys and meerkats and sail boats on the dam. No, no elephants in Encino. :) luv jada

Thanks so much, Jada - he has seen them at the zoo, but I bet he would be thrilled to see them out in the open :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke,

I'm so behind on my reviews. How adorable! I'm so glad you wrote this because I will no longer look for elephants when I go for a walk, lol. Those better not be fire ants - ouch.

Hugs,
Lou

What a dissapointment for Sawyer, no ellephants in Encino. This is a really fun poem with great rhymes. Too bad that Sawyer can only find ants though. good stuff there, Brooke.

HAHA! From elephants to ants. Very cute. I like the reasoning behind the explanation of why, perhaps, there are no elephants in Encino. I love how inquisitive Sawyer appears to be.

Your charminng whimsical verse is my first read of the day and it left me smiling.

I do think that there is a derth of charm and whimsy in our world today. I do appreciate you filling that lack. Of course, with the inimitable Sawyer as a muse ... I would not have expected less.

Hugs, d

I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, Diane - yep, I figure enough others are piling on the doom and gloom. They can do without me to add to the pile :-) I appreciate your generous six stars, my friend :-) Brooke
