Hi Brooke, this is an elegant sonnet with lovely images that celebrate the beauty of the world. You have such positivity in this write and a deep spiritual undertone. great use of iambic meter and effective volta that's subtle. Very skillful write and best of luck in the contest.

Gail, thank you so very much, my friend :-) Sawyer had not been to this house since Valentine's Day - it's the home of Nora's friends where he has only been twice. When Miranda told him - we're going with Nora to see Evan and Rose, she thought she would have to remind him who Evan and Rose are, but instead he exclaimed - the butterfly! Months later he was remembering seeing this butterfly in their tree house. He notices and remembers everything. That inspired me to write about how little many adults notice and appreciate. :-) Brooke

A flower or a rainbow light, will bring beauty in the world. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

I'm glad I have a soul that slows its pace, because each second, each minute, each hour and day (etc) I see the beauty you speak about. And where I live in the remote Marlborough Sounds of NZ, the deep Pelorus listed as a place of significant natural beauty, I am lucky to see nature at it's best. Marion.

Marion, judging from your photos and posts, you live in the perfect place to slow down and absorb the beauty of our world. Thank you so much, my friend :-) Brooke
