Oh, Brooke, this is so beautiful.

It reads like a wondrous prayer.

I literally sighed when I finished it.

What a marvelous phrase: " for those inclined to hurry on their way,m the beauty of our world is put to waste" ..... Stunning!!!

Hugs, your eternal fan, d

Great rhythm and rhyme. This English Sonnet flows and tastes like honey. Such a great message for us all to slow down and take a good look at our surroundings. It's all there for free and so wasted by so many. It is also an inspiring poem. Thanks for sharing; God bless!

What a wonderful poem. I loved the message of how the beauty that is all around us is often overlooked. The tiniest things cam bring the biggest joys. Great job on this. Good luck in the contest.

What good eyes Sawyer has. I would have missed it had he not been pointing to it. We do miss so much that is out there for us to enjoy. If only we just slowed down to see the beauty all around us. Marvelous poem and so beautifully written too.

He has always been like that - he will spot the moon during the daytime when Miranda never would have noticed it until he gets all excited about it. He loves stars and will find any star in any tiny design of a book or toy or wallpaper, etc, again, long before Miranda sees it. And then he remembers what he's seen. The last time he was at this house, the home of Nora's little friends, was Valentines Day, but when Miranda told him they were going to Evan and Rose's house yesterday, his first reaction was to exclaim - the butterfly! Brooke :-)

Have you figured out how to open photos on your computer yet? I have one that Sawyer would just love...I am serious. It is of a parrot that is almost completely camouflaged in tree with leaves the exact same color as the feathers of the parrot. Let me know and I will send it to you...you'll have to send me your Email address again if you can open the photos. It is a real jewel!!!

send it to lafaerychik@aol.com - that is Miranda's address, so he can get it directly.

I just sent it to her...I send you a cc but not sure if you will be able to see the photo. It really is a cool one...I sent one of the iguana that used to life outside my bedroom window too.

At first glance Wordsworth came to mind with his innate love of the natural world -and this English sonnet( a great poetic tool) Nature's hidden beauty is celebrated with its'tiny gems'with the couplet acting as an invocation almost

Brooke, this is such a lovely sonnet. I enjoyed reading it and makes me want to go out and just look at things and see what I may have missed. Lovely. Miss Sally

Beautiful sonnet here. The rhythm is so well done. The rhymes are a delight. The point you make is so true. Most of us don't notice the miraculous events happening around us. This is truly excellent.

Well done with this Sonnet. Been awhile since reading a Sonnet done correctly. Not that I am a poet but do enjoy the songs. Sawyer, Grandmother has done it again. I was wondering if my day would get through without seeing you. Well, chalk up another. Blessings to you, Brooke.

You have written a beautiful English sonnet, true to form and purpose. I like the choices you made to illustrate the little things that we tend to overlook. Nice job.
