I feel you once again done quite well here with this one brooke and I like how the surface words talk about a more underlying message, that we should appreciate those things we have around us !

Nice soft s sounds for a whisper-like effect, as is the sentiment of your poem; if we look there is beauty. Effective photo for this poem. Great imagery in your poem, and lovely, last lines:)

If we would only take the time to see, we would discover a world we never dreamed existed. We would see sight we never ever imagined. In truth it has always been there, but we never take the time to see it. Time goes past so quickly, we really need to slow it down and we can do that by slowing ourselves down. Wonderful point made in this lovely poem.

Brooke;
A perfectly and well written sonnet where you were very resourceful in writing this very inventive and extremely creative piece of poetry.
In this annotation, review and observation Your imagination was demonstratively descriptive and dexterously expressive in this imagery.
Your poems read them in a rhyming word done very well and neither of your rhymes were forced nor labored while your rhythm flowed smoothly throughout your poem due to the fact that Your meter and tempo were done so well.
It so often we take for granted the small things around us or even the things that are there and probably mostly because of our time and electronics in the computer age we spend most of our time looking at iPads in such that we forget to look at the world around us in any detail.
Thank you so much for sharing and posting this for everyone to read and made the sun always shine on your shoulders.
Alex

When we walk pass life and see the things before us, we may have missed out on some beautiful things in life. So beautiful and brilliant that we should not have missed them. In our hustle and bustle of life, we do miss a lot. We fail to see the rainbow because we forgot to look up at the sky after the rain.
We must have missed the boat of life for being too busy and inattentive just because we have our own set of concerns and worries in our minds. But we must never be blind nor forget to "catch us a rainbow" when we can.
If life is to live in sorrow and dread, then it is time we become more observant to find out about the good in life which we can take with us, smiles.
Great write and well expressed.
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))

Good use of the sonnet rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with grass/glass...day/way. Good description and alliteration. Good rhythm and flow. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message. Excellent job.

I always think of the English sonnet as the best of 'true poetry.' I think it is hard to beat this form, and yours is a great example, Brooke. I found it very enjoyable to read for one thing, but also containing that little moral that we should stop and look at the beautiful things around us. I particularly like the subtle twist from line 9. Well done Giddy

What a beeeeyoootiful sonnet. This says "winner" all over it. I hope the judges agree. The items chosen include a nice variety and I stopped to picture each one of them. I just lovvve this line: miraculous the world in which we dwell. Sorry it's Sixless Saturday, but you'll be deluged with them in a few hours. :)
